Now Available: New and Enhanced Employers Council Publications

Employers Council often receives feedback about our publications, and we always try to be responsive. To that end, our publications are being updated and enhanced on a regular basis due to the ever-changing legal landscape.

Because they are not static documents, we have added permalinks to the covers of all of our whitepapers and checklists. Members can tell with one click whether they have the most recent version. Our handbook documents will also be updated over the next few weeks

One request from our members was to have more information on drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion documentation. We recently added a whitepaper titled Reasonable Suspicion and Documentation with a helpful guideline form for assistance when reasonable suspicion is an issue. Also, for an in-depth review of reasonable suspicion, we offer an on-demand class. And, we have staff well versed to answer questions for members that have consultation included in their membership.

Another set of new whitepapers concerns the Affordable Care Act (ACA). While this law is no longer new, questions remain about its implementation. We have three new whitepapers: ACA: Determining an ALE, ACA: Rehires and Changes in Status, and ACA: The Employer Mandate. We hope they will assist in answering many questions, but we also have staff educated in benefits administration that can help you.

Employers Council will continue to create new resources and enhance the ones we already have. We welcome any comments or requests. For further information please contact us at info@employerscouncil.org.
