OFCCP Releases Revised Form for Employees of Federal Contractors to Self-Identify Disabilities

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) rolled out a new form for inviting employees to self-identify their disability. It must be provided to employees by July 25, 2023. The revised form includes preferred language for disabilities and additional examples of conditions that may be considered disabilities under applicable law.

The OFCCP also has a platform where covered federal contractors and subcontractors must annually certify whether they are meeting their requirement to develop and maintain annual affirmative action plans. On March 31 of this year, federal contractors were able to certify the status of their plans for each establishment or unit on the platform. The deadline for certifying compliance was June 29, 2023. This includes banks, many of which have affirmative action obligations.

Employers Council can help you with affirmative action obligations. For more information, see our whitepaper, and if you have questions or need assistance, contact us at info@employerscouncil.org.
