Effective January 1, 2023, Colorado employers will be subject to the Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI), requiring payroll deductions and employer contributions to a state-run paid leave program for employees. Final rules are pending, and Employers Council will alert members when they are issued.

Employers Council has prepared various resources to guide members in complying with FAMLI. Click on this community thread for quick access to all of our resources, including the following:

  • Whitepaper – plain English overview and guidance to help you understand FAMLI and comply with its rules

  •  Handbook policy – update your employee handbook with a FAMLI policy

  •  Checklist – a quick self-check tool

  •  Articlesupdates on FAMLI as it has evolved
