The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) has protected employees who complain about safety violations. Under the US Department of Labor’s greater scrutiny of employer retaliation, it is holding a public meeting to solicit comments and suggestions from stakeholders on issues facing the agency in administering the whistleblower laws it enforces.

One area of focus is healthcare and protecting healthcare workers who raise concerns related to COVID-19.

On May 18, 2022, OSHA will have a meeting from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (ET) via telephone and virtually via Zoom, according to a notice published in the April 6, 2022, Federal Register. Those who wish to attend must register by May 11, 2022. If you want to submit comments instead, they must also be submitted by that date.
