Employers Council’s 2022 Public Employers Compensation Survey contains two separate reports: Individual and Aggregate. Each report contains data for 454 public employer-specific jobs.
The Public Employers Compensation Survey: Individual Organization Report contains data displayed by individual organization for city and county governments, parks and recreation districts, library districts, and fire districts only. In addition, the report includes data such as pay practices for police and fire positions and other position-specific information.
The Public Employers Compensation Survey: Aggregate Report contains data displayed by aggregate results for city and county governments, public and private utilities, parks and recreation districts, public library districts, fire departments/districts, and other organizations. General information can be found in the Public Employers Compensation Survey: Individual Organization Report.
The chart below displays the participant analysis of organizations that reported data in the 2022 Public Employers Compensation Survey. The largest demographic in the survey is the city breakout at 35% of the sample.

Depending on your organization’s membership level, non-participants may need to purchase a copy of the survey for $450. For questions regarding the survey or to obtain a copy, please call the Employers Council Surveys Department at 800-884-1328 or 303-223-5490 or email surveys@employerscouncil.org.
